Free Drawing
Drawing is a visual art that makes use of any number of drawing instruments to mark a two-dimensional medium. Drawing is the act of making marks on a surface so as to create an image, form or shape. Common instruments include graphite pencils, pen and ink, inked brushes, wax color pencils, crayons, charcoals, chalk, pastels, markers, stylus, or various metals like silverpoint. An artist, who practices or works in drawing may be referred to as a draftsman or draughtsman. The most common support for drawing is paper, although other materials such as cardboard, plastic, leather, canvas and board, may be used. Temporary drawings may be made on a blackboard or whiteboard, or indeed almost anything. Children feel the need to express themselves. Children are able to learn very quickly how to use the different mediums and techniques available in drawing. Coloring materials such as crayons, pastel colors, paint, colored markers, colored pencils, watercolors and chalk are the most popular choices for young hands.
When a child starts to make drawings with some meaning, he or she is entering an important stage of understanding, creating and communicating. The inspiration of a child stems from the hundreds of ideas running through his mind, which most of the time can result in some odd pictures that only the child can personally understand. It's important to know the difference between drawing from memory and drawing from imagination. Drawing from memory basically means that you are trying to recall some real image that you have captured with your brain in the past and trying to draw or paint them out.
Sketching is a skill thing. It needs a little time to develop but it gets easier with practice. Your skills are what you depend on to help you overcome any problems that you may come across when you're drawing. Pencil drawing is an art forming the outline for many paintings and sketches, and its advantage for a beginner, to form a base for advanced painting.
